A resident didn't get their invite

Troubleshooting · 1 min read · from the Veni help library

If a resident says they never got their Veni invite, you can see the invite's status and resend it in a few clicks. Invites go out by email or SMS, so the fix usually comes down to the channel or the address.

Find the pending invite

Open the building's Residents tab. An invited resident who hasn't accepted shows an amber Invite pending pill with the date it was sent. People & Access collects all of these under a Pending invites section too.

Resend it

Choose Resend on the row to send it again. If the resident has no mobile number on file (a No phone status), only email is available; add a phone number to reach them by SMS.

To chase everyone at once, Resend {N} pending on the Overview re-sends every outstanding invite for the building in one go.

Check the address and expiry

  • Invalid email: if the invite came in through Bulk Add with an *Invalid email* status, it never sent. Correct the address and re-invite.
  • Expired: invites expire after 30 days. A very old pending invite should be sent fresh rather than resent.
  • Ask the resident to check spam, and confirm the email or phone on the invite matches what they actually use.
Resending is throttled: Veni skips anyone already re-invited within the last 24 hours, so rapid repeat clicks won't send duplicates.
