For the front desk
Veni Front Desk is the app your building's desk runs on. Visitor check-in, calls with residents, guest passes, packages and the shift handoff, all from the tablet at the desk.
Veni Front Desk runs on an iPad or an Android tablet kept at the desk. It is free to download, and it stays locked until your management office sets up the desk's sign-in in the Veni portal.
Looking for the resident app? Residents download Veni from helloveni.com/get, with the invite their building sends them.
Setting up the desk
Your management office does the first part in the Veni portal: the desk's sign-in and the list of people who staff it. The rest happens on the tablet.
Download Veni Front Desk on the desk tablet from the App Store or Google Play. Keep the tablet charged and at the desk.
Enter the desk email and password your management office set up, then tap Sign in this device. The tablet stays signed in after that.
Tap your name under Who's on duty? The calls, passes and packages you handle are recorded under your name until you hand off.
NOTE: some buildings use phone codes instead of a shared password. There, the tablet is signed in once with the desk password to set it up, and after that each person taps their name and enters a 6-digit code texted to their own mobile.
On a phone too
The same app on a staff phone scans labels with the rear camera, in the package room or at the loading dock. New packages land on the desk's board under the shift open on the tablet, and a box the desk already has opens ready to hand out.
Visitor check-in, guest passes, calls and shift changes stay on the desk tablet. Download the app on the phone from the same store listing.
Common questions
Where do I get the desk password?
From your management office. They create it in the Veni portal and see it only once, so if it is lost they generate a new one.
The tablet signed itself out.
A new desk password signs the tablet out. Ask your management office whether one was just issued, and enter it at the desk.
My name is not on the tablet.
Management adds you to the building's front desk roster. Until then, tap Team coverage to take the desk as a fill-in. Buildings that use phone codes ask for a coverage PIN, which management gives you.
Is this the resident app?
No. Residents use Veni, from helloveni.com/get. Veni Front Desk is for the people who staff the desk.
